Random Number Generator

Generate random numbers within any range. Choose how many you need, whether repeats are allowed, and whether to sort them — then copy the list in one click.

Enter your details above — results update as you type.

Worked example

For example, drawing 3 distinct numbers from 1–49 and sorting them ascending turns [21, 5, 33] into [5, 21, 33]. That arrangement step is what the tests check — the sampling itself is deliberately random.

What the results mean

Numbers
The generated numbers, in the order you chose. Press “Generate again” (or change any setting) for a fresh set — every number is drawn uniformly from your range using your browser's cryptographic random source.
Range
A quick read on the set: the range it was drawn from and whether repeats were allowed.

Frequently asked questions

Are these numbers truly random?

They are drawn with the Web Crypto API's cryptographically secure random source, which is as good as it gets in a browser. “Truly random” in the physics sense is a philosophical question; for games, raffles, sampling and test data, this is indistinguishable from it.

Can I generate numbers without repeats?

Yes — turn on “No repeats”. Each number then appears at most once, drawn without replacement. If you ask for more distinct numbers than the range contains (for example 10 unique numbers from 1–5), the calculator tells you the request is impossible.

What if I need decimal numbers?

Set the minimum and maximum with decimals (like 0 and 1) and the generator draws uniform decimal values in that range, rounded to four decimal places.

Can I use this for a raffle or lottery draw?

Yes, for casual draws it is fair and unbiased. For legally binding lottery operations, use equipment certified for that purpose — and remember that a random draw can still look suspiciously patterned; that is randomness working.
